I even tried the a couple of mat bags with the zipper on the top but, I like the center zipper. I also love the adjustable shoulder strap's which can make it go across thr body. It can also be shortened and worn like a backpack. It is just a great all-around bad.The only difference is with the manduka yoga mat it doesn't leave room for blocks but they are still ample room for towels and personal effects. I really love this bag.. This is a great bag it is extra long like I needed it to fit my Manduka pro mat because it is very thick and strong. This is a great complement for my mat. (Gaiam does not make a bag that fits their own larger mats!) This bag was the only one I came across that my mat would actually fit in, despite many other bags' claims to "fit most mats." Not only does my mat easily fit into this bag (and without having to jimmy it in there), but there is extra room for a towel or other gear, as well as some interior pockets for keys and wallet.
