CSX 5-Car Wooden Toy Train Set by Whittle Shortline Railroad

My son LOVES his train set. He has been wanting realistic wooden trains to match the ones he sees on the rails for as long as I can remember. They are pricy, but well worth it for a true railfan like my little boy. Will be adding to his collection every year for birthdays and Christmas. Still looking for a wooden railway replica of the UP Big Boy... so hint hint... if y'all could make one of those it will be a huge hit!

Got this for my son for his birthday and he loved it. However the quality of this product makes me question the high price tag of it. Within minutes of it coming out of the package the locomotive piece had two chips in it. It's been out for two days and has five chips, one of which is quite large.

As the mother of a young train enthusiast, who specified a wooden CSX train set, this train is simply beautiful! The craftsmanship is superb! You can't go wrong with this train set. I will by other train sets from this company.

I bought this set for my son's 2nd birthday. He loves the engine! The train set is very well made, and the engine looks very much like the real CSX diesel engine we regularly see on our drive to work/daycare in the mornings. It's very durable and a great deal for the set (comes to $10 per car). It works with our other wooden trains and train tracks well, too (Thomas, Brio, Imaginarium)!

Bought these for my nephew he LOVES them and I like buying American made. Packaging was nice and the detail is good.

This train is built very sturdy for rough playtime. The painting is superb and details are clear and accurate looking.I am pleased with this purchase and I hope that my Grandson will still have this when he becomes a father one day.
