**Q: Is the cloth thin? Can it be worn by a 12 year old girl?**
A: The dhoti has a good material probably cotton and can be worn comfortably. 
The chadar is of satin which is thin, light weight and not so big that it will cover the whole body .. you will either have to pin it properly or use any other white dupatta.
