They keep the patio paint from being scratched when people slide their metal-legged chairs or when moving the table around. Good looking since they are basicly camafloged and good value. They also seem durable although sometimes they seem to split. All and all a great find for what I need ! They stay firmly attached to the chair legs, even as I slide them over slightly uneven tile and grout lines. These are much better than those chair socks or sticky foam pads that kept falling off.
