I can fit a sandwich, sliced fruit and some crackers. I also like that it is microwave safe so last nights leftovers can be reheated for lunch, and I love that it's made in the USA. My biggest criticism of the product is the seal of the lid. It can pop off easily even when I've run my fingers around the perimeter, and we've had some issues with leakage. I wrap a rubber band around it to hold it more firmly in place. After you take your time and snap down around the edges, the containers leak, if they are not level. But since no one will be taking the containers in a lunch bag, that shouldn't be a problem.
