I had to climb countless jagged and uneven rock mounds, crawling through spaces with less than 6 inches between my back and the ceiling, and scraping my knees and shins on everything the cave had in store. But in the end, these pants proved to be incredibly durable! I was going there expecting these pants to get some holes because of the thin material, but they pulled through! Happy to report that it did not have a single hole or tear! These are way thinner than I had anticipated. They are thin enough to breathe, which makes them great for hiking pants, and they survived a small tumble down a hill side. When water splashed on them from the waterfall, it beaded up and rolled off. So for hot days and hiking, they would be fantastic. I am 6'2" -- 215 lbs. The pants feel nice. The only downside is the pants are a little too baggy causing a "swishing sound" when walking. I usually wear kaki pants that are 38W and 34L. The waist was perfect but the length being 34L was more like 35L. Because the pockets and back pockets are nice large size, which I like, I wished they would all have been equipped with zippers. The leg pockets does come with zippers.
