However the original ones after 5 years have disintegrated so these are still better than those. The other problem with these is the installation, they obviously are reusing packing with newer product. The instructions clearly state that you need to remove the lockring from the old headphones and install into these. I tried for a while and gave up as it looks like they have a firmer plastic piece inside which appears to be the lockring.Coming to type this review the description states that the lockring is included so they just need to change the sticker on the bag they come in.Assuming that you worked it out, the newer pads are a pain to clip in, I for the life of me can't get them to clip in the whole way around. Part of the pad will always be slightly raised. They can be a little difficult to install, though the process is simple, and i found it no more difficult to do than with the original ear pads.There is a youtube video you can watch, and that may help: [...]One difference, the video has you reusing the original lock ring, but these come with one pre-installed. ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars Not very durable. Unfortunately, after using them on a few flights, the outer plastic coating failed. The material degraded and rubbed through at the inside seam and the underlying foam is now deteriorating. The original OEM earpads lasted for years so these are definitely not OEM quality.
