I will be honest and say that it is a tedious process to assemble, and requires a lot of patience as each crystal strand needs to be attached by the customer. My original lamp base did not work so I sent an email asking how to get a new base(I definitely did not want to assemble the shade again) within less than a week the company had sent me a brand new entire lamp, which I think is excellent customer service. I opted for a 25w bulb in mine, as it is quite bright. It was all made very well, the base very heavy and sturdy and the crystals were all perfect.
