Heat a pot of water to boiling. Use a permanent marker to write the jar contents on your label and indicate the date you are canning it on the date feature on back of label. Slip the label from the top or bottom of the jar towards the centre and adjust until it is in the location you prefer. Carefully dip the jar into the hot water using your canning tongs. The label will shrink instantly around the jar. To remove, carefully slide a knife under the label and twist to break the label loose.NOTE: Labels are heat sensitive; do not store in excessive heat
