When I first attempted to install the units, the adhesive stickers were too difficult to detach from their shipping surface. I visited the desertcart online description and found that the seller realized this, and had come out with a new version of the adhesive which had a small tab making it easy to detach from the backing. I just needed to contact the seller for a free replacement. I contacted the seller and within five or 10 minutes, had an email reply, asking me for my address and they would send me the replacement adhesive. Then I was sent a photo of the addressed envelope with the replacement stickers. Nice! Within a week I received the new adhesive stickers. The new adhesive stickers easily separate from the shipped surface, and the whole unit is simple to attach. The unit is two pieces that are magnetized to clamp together. I purchased two of these sets, which is plenty to accomplish my goal of keeping the water inside the tub. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Instructions *by L***T on December 28, 2022* There were no instructions in the envelope that these shower curtain magnets came in. Since from looking at the things, it was not obvious to me what to do with them, I fished the envelope out of the trash again and checked that there *really* were no instructions inside. None. But then I noticed that while there were no instructions *inside* the envelope, there *were* instructions *on* the envelope. Just too small for me to read with just my reading glasses. In picture 1 I compare these instructions with a little piece of text cut from another source next to it, which is in a small font but still easily readable for me with reading glasses. The picture also shows the 10X lighted magnifying glass that I used to read the instructions. Obviously, these IQ Labs nature lovers have used advanced 2D micro-printing technology to ensure that not a *single sliver* of tree is wasted needlessly! The first item in the instructions tells you to take the caps off the pins of the magnets that have pins, by first pushing them in, and then pulling them off. As picture 2 shows, the caps consists of two parts: an outer part that you push in and pull out (left in the picture; I *assume* this is what you push and pull, the instructions don't say) and an inner part that is against the plastic around the magnet. (There is also some spring inside keeping the two parts pushed together; in the picture I am holding the cap with my fingers to keep the parts separated against the force of the spring.) So I took one magnet with a pin and pushed in the outer part of the cap. Did not seem to do anything, even if I pushed harder. Anyway, then I tried to pull off the cap. Did not come off, even when I pulled harder. I did not want to pull so hard that I pulled the pin and magnet out of the plastic, so I tried prying the cap off with a screwdriver. Did not want to budge. So I tried to unlock it more forcefully by first pushing in the cap with tongue and groove pliers, and then by hammering on it. Neither managed to unlock the cap. I tried another pin and cap magnet, with the same results. Where they all like that? No, I managed to get the cap of a third by simply pulling it off, without even pushing it in. In fact, I managed to get all remaining six caps off that way, with a bit of wiggling maybe. So returning to the two caps that failed to come off; instead of pushing the outer part in, I used a tiny screwdriver to *pry the parts apart*. That worked; it allowed me to get these caps off too. Here you see another astonishing benefit of 2D micro-printing technology: many people will not be able to read the instructions, or even see that they are there, and these people will be able to get the caps off without much trouble! Anyway, one other reviewer complained that the caps came off just like that in use. If that happens to me, I will know what to do about it! The magnets that do not have pins are supposed to be stuck to your wall (or whatever) with transparent disks of double-sided tape. As picture 3 shows, I received these disks stuck at one side to a transparent backing, and covered at the other exposed side by a red plastic cover. Many reviewers have reported problems getting the transparent disks off. I did not have any trouble. What I did is pull on the little red tab of the cover while holding the transparent disk down against the transparent backing with a nail of my other hand. This allowed me to get the red plastic cover off, and with the transparent double-sided tape disk still stuck to the plastic backing. Then I turned the backing plus disk over so that I could see what I was doing and pushed the disk firmly to the back of the magnet (already stuck to the corresponding magnet with pin) through the backing so that it stuck well and I could take it off the backing. Then I pushed the two magnets against the desired place on the tiled wall and held it for 30 seconds and let it sit for 24 hours to cure. Of course, before doing all that, I had cleaned the corresponding place on the wall very well, and then thoroughly wiped it, and the back of the magnet, with rubbing alcohol. After all, if you push the tape against a film of soap scum, finger prints, and other oily dirt on the wall, then the force for the magnets to come off the wall is not the force for the magnets to come off the oily film, but the force for the oily film to come off the wall, and that is no force at all. I got these magnets to reduce the cold drafts inside my shower-inside-a-bathtub configuration. I already have bathtub doors, but these do still let a lot of draft through. So I added a shower curtain and a liner. However, the problem with these is that if the shower is going, it sucks the liner away from the bathtub surface, (I assume due to air entrainment), allowing a cold draft to occur. I probably cannot avoid that completely, but I think I *should* be able to keep the liner against the bathtub at the shower end; thus restricting the bad draft to the other end of the bathtub. So for now I am holding the liner at the shower end to the wall using two magnets pairs, and to the bottom to the bathtub using just two magnets with pins. (Yes, the shower curtain already has magnets at its bottom, but such magnets do not stick worth a darn to my bathtub. I guess that is because my bathtub is just a thin layer of expensive iron on some cheap plastic substrate. The IQ Labs magnets are much stronger than the magnets found in shower curtains and stick far better.) I plan to apply the remaining four magnet pairs based on what I learn from the current configuration.
