Review: preworkout snack - i have been eating one of these and drinking an energy drink before my workouts and i have been feeling great. these waffles give you a good burst of energy while keeping you full for your workout and all the flavors are delicious. some of the waffles did crumble but if you can sit still for 2 minutes while eating it’s not a big deal. ETA: i ran out of these about a week ago and i have to say i definitely feel a difference when working out without eating one before. my last few workouts i felt like i could barely finish and was losing energy midway through. i was skeptical at first about giving this 5 stars bc i wasn’t totally sure if it was actually working or just a placebo effect. now i know it really works so i’m updating my review.

There is a slight artificial taste compared to other generic waffle snacks, but the other snacks didn’t have an athletic target market. I like that the snacks are flat so they’re easy to carry in my running vest and don’t jump around. They have a chewy texture which is satisfying and doesn’t need water to wash down like my other running snacks. Really gives me something to look forward to every 5 miles. My only small complaint is that the edges that are glued down by the soft filling easily break off and create lots of crumbs, so if you’re running on a treadmill it can create a bit of a mess, but if you’re running outside be sure to empty out the crumbs into your mouth before storing the wrapping because my running vest starts to get a little crumby. Besides that minor non-issue, I loved it and it’s a staple in my running gear
