This year has been perfect early season weather for tomato, pole bean, and eggplant growing. These trellises have held up under heavy loads, and never torn. They have survived hot sun, heavy rains, and heavy winds. They have even survived the pecking attacks from our flock of chickens. We highly recommend them. **Q: has anyone purchased the 3.5 inch mesh? which is better for string beans? tks!** A: this one works great for string beans. It is close enough to hold but not prohibit growth. **Q: Does this trellis net shed fibers, especially when being cut for harvest? This seems to be a common issue among polyester trellis nets.** A: I use the green garden sticks with this net and Tied up with rope around it. It works for me. **Q: Is this strong enough to trellis cantaloupe?** A: Not sure seems strong enough, I would think it would be about achoring it .
