Cold pressed oils are much healthier than heat pressed. **Q: is this hexane free?** A: I didn't taste Hexane and I warm it with food. If there is Hexane then warming may vaprize the hexane because it's boiling point is apparently 69oC. This is lower than alcohol. **Q: Is there an expiration date on this oil? How long will it keep? Doess it require refrigeration?** A: Yes, there is an expiration date on the bottle--however, it will be different for each purchase depending upon when you buy it. For example, I bought mine a couple of months ago and it has an August 2023 expiration date on it. Since I have no idea when it was bottled, I can't tell you how long a shelf life it has but I expect it is around 2 years. It does not need to be refrigerated although you could do that to prolong the shelf life. Keeping it in a cool, dark place (like a pantry or cellar) would also help. As with any oil, it will eventually go rancid (especially after opening it) no matter what, but it will do so much faster in a bright, hot space than a cool dark one. **Q: Is this non GMO?** A: Yes, according to the USDA's very vigorous standards, all foods labeled organic are inherently also non-GMO.
