Using antibiotics on goats messes up their gut biome just like every other thing. It is particularly hard on goats and other ruminants. Their lives depend on properly functioning rumens. I always give my goats pre and pro biotics during and after antibiotics that kills both harmful and helpful bacteria simultaneously . pre and probiotics is labeled for horses but it the same bacteria any rumiant has.
