We asked what she wanted and (of course) pink and unicorns were mentioned.Luckily this cap was available. She's eight and has a lot of long, curly hair, so we needed a cap that was tight fitting, but with sufficient space for hair to be pushed up into it.The cap goes on relatively easily if you use the "inside-out-flop" technique (as the teacher calls it). If you're pulling it down, and then tucking locks of hair up into it, it's more of a production, but works exactly as you'd expect.The material is thick compared to other cheaper swimcaps. It feels sturdy, which is very important since it's little fingers pulling it on, which are much more likely to rip it. It's survived a 10-unit swim course in perfect condition. No rips or deformities.The unicorn design on the side is still in great condition. It looks almost as good as it did when we bought it.My daughter LOVED it, and was really proud to show it off to her friends when she went swimming.
