They are NOT leak proof. Liquid pours out of the spout if they tilt upside down, but nothing leaks past the rim as you drink from them. And did I say they are durable? **Q: Can you use a straw with these?**
A: No, they have two sides,  a "sippy" side (spout) and a drink side, there is no room for a straw with the lid on, take the lid off and you can use a straw, then you have the same spillability as with a regular glass. I bought these for my wife to use , unfortunately, her Parkinsons did not allow her to use it properly. Hope this helps.

**Q: I need a wheelchair side cup holder that can fit these. Any suggestions?**
A: No ma’am, they have that ribbed bottom, can’t fit in any cup holders. Sorry.

**Q: Is this cup BPA-free?**
A: They are not BPH approved. They are not leak proof, therefore I’m unable to use them for my elder aunt.

**Q: What I'd like to know is how thick and how wide is the handle, anyone know?**
A: The handles are not that thick but it’s wide enough for anyone of any size to hold it. But I had to return them because they leaked out of the rims with the cover on.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hate That My Dad Needs It - But It’s Useful

We pretty much never give my dad (Parkinson’s among other things) anything to drink that doesn’t have a lid. These are perfect in that they have a hole for a straw (he doesn’t use the “sippy” side. They aren’t insulated, so will sweat with ice in them, so we use Tervis tumblers when he wants ice. But he mostly consumes drinks at room temp, and these are perfect. They aren’t heavy duty, but handles on both sides make them easy for him to hold and the lip around the base makes them stable when being set down or picked up. They aren’t completely spill proof, as liquids will come out of the straw hole or sippy side - but we’ve never had a spill.
