Replaced with this fan. Boom, the noise is gone. Considering it is only a 92mm fan, it's extremely quiet at max RPM. I did cut one of the taps on the cable adapter (using pair of flush/side cutters), with a pair of flush/side cutters. This is due to HP's preparatory fan connectors. However, everything else is 'like for like'. If you're using an HP Z-System, I strongly recommend it. (Also you don't need to google 'Can I use PWM fans on my HP Z...' Yes.
