I had found a company that had big ones but then I think on my second order they did a "bait and switch" because they were woefully inadequate. I bought them a few more times in hopes that they would have changed but sadly, they did not. It was to the point where I felt so bad for my dog that I was giving him 2 or 3 to make up for the inadequacy. I was searching for giant pig ears and I saw this company and saw there were a lot of positive reviews so I decided to try them and bought 2 bags to start.Well, lets just say that I was NOT disappointed with the quality of these ears. They are, in fact, FULL SIZED pig ears! When I opened the bag I was extremely happy with the purchase. Not only are they big but they're pretty thick too and it keeps my dog occupied for a while. I have since bought more -- which, fortunately or unfortunately depending on how you look at it, I messed up on my order and ended up buying 8 bags when I meant to only buy 4 so now he's set for at least a year. I hope that the quality remains the same when I have to buy them again.I've included a picture of one of the old pig ears vs. two of the new ones. It's obvious which ones are which. Overall size is the big gripe with many reviewers, including myself. They all claim to be a full pig ear, but typically, none of them are much more than the top 2/3 of the ear to start with...at best? And flat and thin as well.Anyway, just received my...very first lot of these Sawmill Creek pigs’ ears, and...first impressions are fantastic...!! These are, withoutquestion, the...largest, complete pig ear I have seen. They have been cut at the base of the ear, where it leaves the head/skull, and at minimum are 6” to 6-1/2” long, and at least 4” to 4-1/2” wide. They are thick and heavy as well; you will have a problem trying to break them in half with your bare hands.And keep in mind, these are the...curled dimensions after cooking/smoking! Uncooked...you could probably add at least 2” to the width, and maybe 1” to 1-1/2” to the length...!Give you some idea of the bulk of these ears; the bag of 20 of the 25 I had, still weighs in at a little over 3 Lbs.They are...virtually odor free; nice and dry, with no oiliness or shine...!I have not seen anything better, not even close, in my years of buying these things from Amazon!Having said all that; as I suggested at the very beginning, this first lot will not – guarantee -- I’ll remain a repeat customer...!?
