It's still plenty bright and I like that it has a red light on the back of the battery pack so you can be seen from the front and back. The batteries take about 8-10 hours to fully charge so I'd recommend making sure you have plenty of time to charge or purchase a backup set of batteries to have on hand. I've only use this for about an hour at a time so I'm not sure how long the batteries actually last.
