**Q: My copy can shrink wrapped but the top lid is not flush with the bottom half. there's a 1/2" gap at the bottom.  is this ok?**
A: That gap is to be expected. Once you punch out the tokens and place all components in the designated compartments, the top will fit flush to the bottom.

**Q: When should this be played? At a certain point in the base game or after completing the base game?**
A: This is a standalone game, separate from the original game. As such, you can play it at any time. If you played the original game first, you can use it as an extension of the game, or, if you play this first, you can use your gameplay to dovetail into playing the original game. There is no actual crossover in gameplay stories, though.

**Q: Is this the updated 2nd printing or the original?**
A: I just got mine today (9-15-2021) and it is the second printing.

**Q: Is this expansion compatible with Gloomhaven Jaws of the lion?**
A: If you also have the Gloomhaven base game, yes. Forgotten Circles is an expansion for Gloomhaven, not an expansion for Jaws of The Lion.

Gloomhaven Jaws of the Lion is a fantastic entryway into the Gloomhaven Universe. As part of play, you are making changes to maps and other game features that would normally be unchangeable. The Removable Sticker and Map set, allows you to track your adventures and then remove the stickers to reset for a new campaign. Excellent value that extends the life of your game.

We just finished Jaws of the Lion and are so in love with the franchise that we jumped right in to Frosthaven. For anyone looking to play Frosthaven or Gloomhaven, this is your starting point! Starting Frosthaven having not played JotL would have been incredibly confusing. Treat JotL as a full tutorial for the bigger games or as an inexpensive way to try out the franchise. The amount of game you get for the money here is incredible! We played every week for about four months to knock the full campaign out. The components are well made and durable and the characters are all so different in how they play. We love how they are not structured like stereotypical tank/DPS/healer builds. While some are clearly better at certain things than others, you can play even the “healer” as a front line fighter or ranged damage dealer if you’d like. While this gaming system is not for everyone, I would highly recommend it for anyone who is into board games. It’s not that much of a commitment if you have a steady group and you’ll be able to say that you’ve played one of a series of world class games.
