It's surprisingly warm for the light weight. The fabric is not too thin. Depending on what you're wearing underneath, it can show through the white part of the jacket a little, but that is common to white fabrics.The 2 pockets are adequate size. They do not zip, but items like keys stay in fine. My phone (6" X 3") barely makes it in, and would probably fall out. With hand inside, the edge of the pocket comes to my wrist. There are no inside pockets.The height of the hood is just tall enough to be comfortable...no extra room there. Because the jacket zips up high on the neck, it is difficult to pull the hood forward over the head after the jacket is all zipped up. The hood opening is too small for that. Just unzip a few inches, then pull the hood over your head and it works perfectly. I switched the black cord with a white oval shoe lace which I like better.The sleeve length is great, but the elastic wrist openings were too large for me. When I pushed them up on my arms, they wouldn't even stay up! I am small boned and I do like a snug fit, so I had to make a loop on the inside of the opening and sew it together on both sleeves. That did solve the problem and I don't notice the loops at all.I'm 5' 6", 140 lbs. and got a size large.
