**Q: Will the adhesive, when removed, harm or leave a mark on the car? Particularly when it gets hot.**
A: It may leave some residue but if you get a small bottle (very cheap) of GooGone it will take it off. I keep a little 1oz bottle of GooGone at the house for any stickers, etc that need to be removed from almost any object.  This phone holder has been great!
