I took it kayaking once to ensure my gear/bags stayed attached in the boat and they did. Not much weight though, so if you want proof of weight/pressure I can't help ya. What I mainly use it for is my keys for my car, house, etc. However, that being said the carabiner does NOT feel cheap in your hands - it has a heavy and sturdy feel to it. The clip part itself is nice and hasn't malfunctioned yet (still springs back), unlike the very cheap ones you usually find at a gas station or at Walmart. And since this is for my car keys I use the spring function constantly. The screw-in lock hasn't slipped or "unscrewed" itself yet either, I usually keep it tight when I'm not playing with it like a fidget spinner. The one I got was a black and gold, and it was pretty moderate. Not really blingy, just kinda nice color combo. What I didn't realize was that it's a double-pack, because I ordered two instances of these and wound up with 4 carabiners lol. Keep that in mind when ordering - I didn't bother returning since I figure they will come in handy sometime.
