I use the wiim only as a transport(politely forget the built in DAC). the difference in quality after using this unit is NIGHT AND DAY. Period. If not, then sorry to say(and probably a lot of you wont like my opinion). but your system is not revealing enough. The main area where the difference is audible is the soundstage and separation. The soundstage is more defined and the mid but mainly the high frequency sounds and clearer and a lot more separated and easier to hear the subtle differences.
