It should have loops to hold it in place. If it does not, most likely you have been sent the wrong comforter due to the seller selling out of it. **Q: Is this washable?** A: Yes it's washable **Q: Does it make you overly hot? Was wondering because of the polyester.** A: I switched from a cotton comforter and yes it does make me overly hot in the summer. Also, it absorbs heat so well that I noticed the fan running full speed on my laptop when I left it sitting on the bed for a few minutes. Having said that, the feel and quality are incredible, especially for the price. If I lay down on top of it, my bed feels like a cloud. I'm just looking for a cooler version for the warmer months.
