They a firm enough I can tell they will hold their shape up after long use and are soft, supportive and comfortable. I was able to secure snuggly to my arm rests. I’ve been through a lot of arm rests for my desk chair and these take the cake. Very stable, perfect firmness, and the memory foam is very comfortable. They fit perfectly and are easily adjustable, the profile looks like it is part of the chair, and they are not slipping and sliding around like the last pair I had. Highly recommend, only complaint is that they are slightly pricey, at least in this economy… but worth it in my opinion
