A compass, and this lightweight, larger than I'd like to be (I wanted to make a necklace to be aesthetically pleasing and functional, which by the way, is almost impossible to find), but with leather cord and my imagination, I can make it wearable, like a talisman, which I have many of that have significant affects on my daily life. I play with it all of the time walking around a store just enjoying "knowing where I am" or hearing Moana in my head singing "Come what may, I know the way...". I have no camping or exploration background other than local state parks, but it has a different meaning to me and if I'm even in a situation where I'm actually physically lost, it's accuracy and the glow in the dark feature will make it much easier to be "found". Compass doesn't work for being lost in the heart and mind, unfortunately. As I had mentioned I was happy to see the top was blank and the logo was on the back, so if I wear it, I can engraved it to personalize it( most likely a quote from Moana, and then the heart symbol, yeah I'm more in love with that Movie than my 4 year old), but I need to practice first being new to engraving, polishing, all things I use to make polymer clay beads and pendants for jewelry I make myself. I take on way too many art projects, the downfall of having a creative mind. It's more of a curse than a gift. There's a little notch where your thumb can just flip it open **Q: Mine does not work.
