This was a hit! It does say not to submerge it or get it wet, but it was excellent for presenting steak on. It’s very heavy and a truly solid piece!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect for searing Waygu beef

A friend requested that I cook some Waygu beef for them. I searched around for something suitably impressive to match the quality of meat (Japanese A5 ribeye first, then the Australian A7 ribeye and strip shown in the picture). After doing a bit of research on the interwebs I slowly oven heated the block at a rate of no more than 200 degrees F an hour. The included wire frame worked well on top of a cookie sheet. That made it easier to transport from oven to cook top, and caught the drippings while searing. Yes, that takes a lot of time. No, do not rush! Your block may shatter! After several hours the block reached the 450F - 500F temperature required for searing. The Waygu was fantastic after 4 minutes to a side arriving a little over medium which is perfect for that cut of meat. I hope you enjoy your block too!
