Sellers of power adapters such as this need to include the OUTPUT specs in addition to the input specs. The Crosley CR49 requires DC output of 12 volts and 1/2 an amp (a/k/a .5a or 500 milli-amps (mA)). (See the Crosley Web site or the original adapter included with the unit.) The output of the T-Power unit described here is 11 - 13 volts (fine) at 1 - 3 amps (too hot!).When this unit is connected and the Crosley is switched on and the volume turned up to a moderate level, a significant hum is heard from the speakers. Swapping the T-Power unit out for a power adapter which came with a Crosley (i borrowed a friends), there is very little background hum when the volume is set at the same moderate level as in the first test.You have to match the input requirements of your turntable with the output of the power adapter.
