There's a trigger for the power boost but it's conveniently located and comfortable to use. **Q: Can batteries be charged in 2 separate locations?** A: Not sure what you are asking but you can leave it on the vacuum and plug in the charger, or you can easily remove the battery and charge it anywhere with the supplied charger then just reattach it to the vacuum. **Q: I cannot see lit up lights on the iq display. you don't know if you are on carpet, floor or what. isn't it suppose to light up?** A: We apologize that you are not seeing the lights on the display. How many battery included in package?** A: If you buy the vacuum with 120 min run time there are 2 batteries (costs about $50,00 more for this vacuum).
