My son is a 45 pound 6 year old who is on the shorter side. This is a perfect fit for him. By perfect fit, I mean that the legs are not so long that we have to roll them because he would trip and neither are the arms. If he was taller, this would still definitely work. There is also a ton of room to put a few layers underneath the costume because you never know how cold Halloween will be in New England. However, if we didn't have to add layers it would look great as well. The costume is thin, like you would expect, but seems well made. The mask fits perfect for his small face and also fits my face well at the same time. My daughter is 8, 80 pounds and a few inches taller and I think it would fit her nicely as well. The costume is super cute and he LOVES it, as do I.
