I love that it's 100% cotton and acid free, a nice thickness that holds the paint well, in the past I've bought cheap paper and my paintings were dull, I thought it was the paint, but in actual fact it was the paper, but it's a good thing to practice on the cheaper paper and then use decent quality to do your final work piece. I have only recently started watercolour painting again having given up for no real reason. I am enjoying it much better and aim to do a bit of painting each day, but I'm a long way off from being good at it. It also has a good absorbency, weight, and is easy to draw on and erase. Paint is taken well and is also east to lift. Overall the pad is good value for money. The one downside is the individual papers are difficult to remove and I would suggest that if you intend to use this paper pad, that you also consider purchasing either a scalpel or similar craft knife to remove your completed piece of art. If you use a kitchen knife, envelope opener or similar you could risk damaging your painting, hence the loss of one star.
