Functions wonderful in the oven. If you take care of these, you can expect 4-5 solid years of use.For people who are serious about cooking, I always recommend learning to use cast iron, carbon steel cookware and of course All-Clad Stainless Steel. I have high end All-Clad stainless steel cookware that I am passing on to my adult son, who will pass to his children.
