Shortly after getting it, I packed up and moved. It sat in storage for 3 years. When I dig it out to use it, I found it still running in the box. Obviously, it was slightly out of time and date considering running in storage. As soon as I pressed the light button and it started flashing and beeping, it's final act I guess as it was too weak to respond. My only thought was the instructions should have something about how to change the battery. Got the battery changed and its working perfectly again.
