She continues her spiritual hiking adventures, this time in Patagonia!Her journey starts with her flight to Argentina and the aloneness that settled in when she first arrived. She defines the beauty of Torres del Paine national park, and notices how, as other hikers pass by stunned by the splendor, a smile is exchanged and her loneliness dissipates.She describes the gratitude that she feels while visiting Patagonia’s sacred sites of nature. During her treks she is ever accompanied by those who have passed who she still feels close to - her angels who can touch her soul anywhere. They whisper in her ear constantly. We wonder if it is because she has gone on a lone trek of self-discovery that she can hear them so well.Her description of her ex-husband and the kind freeing letter that she sent to him, followed by the stanch rejection on Valentine ’s Day was particularly poignant. We hear her reason to herself, “it is not about me”, and we apply it to our own lives.She has engaging conversations with a free spirited woman named Lexy Ann, whom she meets on the hike, a wise beyond her years soul. If you loved Camino of the Soul you will not want to miss reading about the authors amazing South American adventure. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Changed my perspective of the space around me *by H***T on Reviewed in the United States on August 2, 2016* I stayed up late last night reading Katherine Elliott's book, Patagonia, and woke up early this morning to finish it. Then I went out for a run. My running route takes me next to a river and through a beautiful park, but on most days I don't even pay attention. I'm so busy planning for my day during my run that I even purchased a tiny digital tape recorder to take with me so I don't forget "important thoughts." I share this because this morning when I went out for my run after reading Ms. Elliott's book, I left my tape recorder on the counter. Instead, I wanted to listen to the Universe and hear what it had to say. A lot!From here on out I won't be bringing my tape recorder on my runs. I don't need it anymore. Her walk inspired me. Her openness to receiving inspired me. I won't be able to hike Patagonia, but through her story and words, I can definitely bring forth the idea of Patagonia on my runs.Ms. Elliott changed my perspective of the space around me and how I perceive what I see.
