The old thumb picks I used before produced a duller sound when picked. These produce a brighter sound that I like. I bought medium and light gauge. The light gauge produce an even brighter sound. I like the tone from the medium gauge more. You can hold it like a flat pick if you like and not ever have to worry about loosing your pick. Clever idea. I really like it.
