Can't go wrong for the price
My wife wanted something for her work to play quietly in the background just enough for her to hear and not enough to disturb other cube dwellers. This looked just the thing but had me a bit scared with it's very low 2 star rating (at the time of purchase). It turns out my fears were completely unfounded! The audio on this is clean if not slightly tinny (no distortion). It's not surround like a high end Bose, but it's suitable enough. It's not super loud, but just enough so that it could be heard over the noise of a shower. Since my wife is using this in her office (after testing at home) this works out to be more than needed.I also found the complaints of poor reception unfounded. In my downstairs kitchen I was picking up every major radio station in the Phoenix area. A few had a touch of static, but all were perfectly readable (five by seven at a minimum for you radio geeks). Since the reviewer with poor reception mentioned incredibly close proximity I would suggest the issue isn't this radio, but the radio transmitter near her. Very high levels of RF energy to a cheaper receiver that doesn't have it's final transistors isolated, can become overloaded by external RF energy essentially shutting down the receiver. This is admittedly a cheap receiver, so this is a very likely cause. If you're not a quarter mile from an AM kilowatt antenna, this will probably do just fine. The unit came with a baggie with nearly a dozen adapters for the dock. I don't know if it will work on an iPhone as we're using a 5th Gen click wheel type iPod. For this it docks OK, but with the rubber outer case my wife has on it, it doesn't fit. I will either need to take a dremmel to widen some parts or she will need to leave the case off to allow it to dock.Considering a price of under $9 from Prime (other vendors under $7) it's hard to argue. It's better than the $5 she was planning on spending at GoodWill for a used radio!

Good value
Got this clock radio to replace a much more expensive one I had whose buttons became impossible to push. This one is easy to operate, has good sound and a battery backup. It has an ipod dock with a lot of adapters to use with different ipods. It charges it while it's docked. You do have to keep the ipod on if you want to use it to wake up to (which I do), but the other one was the same way and since it's charging the whole time, it doesn't bother me. The only difference between this one and the more expensive one is that this one doesn't have an aux input. I never used it anyway so I don't miss it. Oh yeah, and this one cost over $20 less! I'm very happy with this purchase.

Inexpensive...Performs As Decribed
This unit works as advertised. It keeps time correctly, with an accurate alarm that is relatively easy to set and charges most Ipods. Don't expect "concert hall" sound, in fact it's not very good, but what do you expect for this price? The battery back up is also a nice feature for this inexpensive alarm clock radio.

Does play/charge my iPod!
if iPod needs to be charged there is a feedback sound from the speakers. Once iPod is fully charged feedback goes away. Pretty tinny sound, but for the price I got a nice charger that works well enough to listen to the news or a ball game on the radio, and songs from the iPod once it is fully charged! Is now downstairs in our guest bathroom!

Good buy for 1 Cents
Not sure how they can sell this clock radio for 1 cents and a reasonable shipping price. (Yes 1 cent.) I bought two for about $12. The clock works fine and radio is okay, however, it is not very selective, making it hard to tune in some stations. Haven't tried the I-Pod port connection yet.

great
My Ipod battery no longer holds a charge, so I needed something that would power it as well as serve as speakers.Pros: comes with adapters for different kinds of ipods--the first one I tried fit. small footprint takes up less space on my worktable than the old radio I wasn't looking for a clock, but it's nice to have sound quality and volume are goodCons: buttons have typical clock radio placement on the sides (why is that, anyway?); be nice if they were on top or front and easier to see.

You get what you pay for.
FM comes in like metallic static. Will not tune to a clear signal. I admit we have poor AM signal here but I can get AM on all the other radios in the house. On this one there's no AM reception whatsoever. Not even static. The IPOD player works. That's about it. It would cost more to return this than I paid for it so I'll stick it in the guestroom for it's clock.

..
the packaging wasn't the best. but the product itself looked like it was in good condition. everything on it was working well. the radio-alarm-etc. but when I plugged my ipod in nothing happened. I pushed and fiddled with it a bit but still nothing happened. I mainly bought it so I could charge my ipod and I cannot do that, so I do not recommend this product-but as an alarm & clock + radio I do.
