It is very well cushioned. They don't slip off the chair or move around while in use. The Gold is not an ugly bright gold it matches any color in the room you have. The quality of the material is very good and the stitching is too. I highly recommend this item As a result I purchased another set in March for an additional rocking chair I have. However, the second set wasn't as comfortable as the Set purchased in February. reason being the seat of the cushion was had less fiber stuffing than the first one ordered. It was rather flat. Disappointed with the second set I ordered.
