There is a pipe and cable connected to the water container and I don't know how to remove it.** A: The white box that the pipe and cable are connected to is held to the base of the tank by a rotating lock. Turn this to line up with the slot in the white box, (a straight turn) and lift out. Replace using same method. Place slot over rotating lock, and turn to the side to secure. **Q: How noisy it it** A: it’s not load, but what you would expect from a tower fan. good variety of settings! **Q: I used water chilled overnight in the fridge and along with two ice blocks and it will not blow cold air. Any help appreciated.** A: Make sure you have it switched to 'cool wind' mode otherwise the pump will not switch on. Nothing surprising about the packaging or quality of the product, which is good news. Usage was fine too. The most powerful fan setting is good, more than adequate. The timer setting works for the few times I tried. Noise is a little of a problem but soon I will not notice it. The air is cool not much cooler; using ice packs can cool a bit more. In a room with air temperature 26C, then putting the measurement in front of the cooler, with ice packs, after about 10 minutes, the reading goes down to 21C. A proper air-con will do better of course. In my case, this is far better than the "standing fan" now turned off, after almost 24x7 on the past week.Item is easy to move, does not feel heavy.Make sure you adhere to instructions in the booklet. No water leaks.I give 4 stars because the conversion of ice pack (to icy water) to air being blown out is a large distance of some 20C. If, instead of ice packs, I fill the container with ice cubes and fill the gap with cold water, would that lower the blown air temperature? The mechanism should not generate heat, since without the ice pack, the blown air is slightly cooler.I am happy I got this unit and a bit more ready to face the summer months.
