It works but you need to be patient as it does a really good job at removing the black crust, but there may be yellow/brown staining left behind that will smear if you wipe. I found that using multiple white rags with just a bit of this product worked well to pull out the stain. It’s not perfect but way better than black specks all over it. If you need to just do a small spot I’d recommend some oversized qtips.
