YAXIstPad Earpads Black (for Sony MDR7506)

-- QUICK SUMMARY --I bought these earpads for the Sony MDR-7506 headphones. They are made with (seemingly) more durable material than the stock pads, are more comfortable than the stock pads, and (in my opinion) sound similar enough for me to not be able to tell the difference between the YAXI and stock pads. Definitely a worthwhile purchase!-- DETAILED REVIEW --I received a pair of Sony MDR-7506 headphones for Christmas last year and after wearing them for a few weeks I decided I wanted to find some different earpads. I had 3 main criteria for the replacement earpads: 1.) they had to be more comfortable than the stock pads on the 7506 headphones; 2.) they had to use more durable pad material than the stock headphones (I didn't want the pads to start flaking in a few years); 3.) they needed to not noticeably change the sound of the headphones.That last point will always be debatable since everyone's ears and sensitivity to sound differences are different. I am by no means an audiophile, but I wanted to keep my headphones sounding like "stock." So my plan was to try out different earpads and compare them to the stock pads. I did this by installing only one new pad and leaving the other stock pad on the headphones. Then I'd put on the phones and play some music or a YouTube video and try to see if my ears could detect a difference in the sound between the two pads.I tried  Brainwavz Hybrid Memory Foam Earpads , Beyerdynamic EDT250V Headphone Ear Pads , and  Auray Genuine Sheepskin Leather Earpads  (Auray's were bought at a better price online at B&H), but they all produced a sound that was (again in my opinion) noticeably different than the stock pads. If I had to describe it I would say that these earpads all seemed to hollow out the sound and reduce the bass. Don't get me wrong, the Brainwavz and Auray were SUPER comfortable (and I'd say the Brainwavz were the most comfortable earpads I've ever used including the YAXI). But I couldn't exchange the sound change for the increased comfort.I was about ready to give up and resign myself to using the stock earpads until they flaked away into nothingness, but thankfully another reviewer (Omid Safaei Kalimi) mentioned these YAXI earphones in a Brainwavz review. Amazon only had one review of the YAXI's at the time (thanks again Omid!), but I figured I'd try them anyway...and I haven't looked back. These headphones greatly improve the comfort and durability of the headphones (though I suppose only time will tell for the latter aspect) while not compromising the stock sound. Totally worth it!

Excellent product. Extremely plush, real memory foam, doesn't distort the sound of the headphones (Sony mdr-7506). Compared to the Brainwavz , these are smaller, but the brainwaves are deeper and have much better coverage and comfort, However the brainwavz HM5 distort sound since the increase the distance of the driver (speaker) to your ear.These don't distort the sound since they are the same size as the original ear pads, But they aren't as comfortable, but still pretty comfortable relatively.Edit, I have bought two of these already and they always fall apart afrer about 3 months, the foam comes and and although they are comfortable, they are not made very strong,

純正品より厚みがあるが音の解像度が上がってびっくり。

替えてよかった。音質の変化は、少しマイルドになったくらいで、あまり極端な変化はなかったので良い方に転がったという感じです。

MDR-7506の場合純正の物よりグルグル回りません　2台所有していて使い分けているのですが経年も異なるので音質の参考になるレビューは書けないのですが　純正より耐久性は良いです　あと買って暫くは夏に耳が蒸れる気がします何故か慣れるのですがでも良い物だと思いリピートしてます

高いだけあって品質が高いです。見た目本革と変わりませんので高級感がありますし、半年使いましたが耐久性も高いように感じます。純正の物よりも厚みがありますので、MDR-CD900STにつけると少しだけ音が変わります。プロの方が本気のモニター用に使っているのであれば注意が必要かもしれません。純正が使えなくなってから購入するのではなく、生きているうちに音の差を確認して違いを理解してから乗り換えた方が安全です。個人的にはこちらに慣れても問題なかったのでリピート確定商品です。

長時間使用すると耳がいたくなり、改善されると思いましたが、付け心地はさほど変わりません。ノーマルのリプレイスにはいいかもしれません。
