Like 250 or something... Then crank it up to 700, how long does that take? Thanks** A: Mine literally takes a few minutes. I use it to reverse sear steaks all the time. I'll go low and slow (250) for 30 minutes or so and then crank it up to 650-700 to sear the meat. I remove the steaks in between but I can literally stand there and watch the temperature go up with the steaks in hand while it raises the temp. It's super fast. **Q: Is it possible to fit a 20 pound Turkey on this grill? Such as do the shelves get in the way or you can't close the lid?** A: The warming racks can be removed or adjusted. **Q: Does the grill produce a lot of smoke?** A: It does produce smoke - I use hardwood lump charcoal and some hickory chunks. This seems to produce more smoke than regular briquettes.
