Very easy to install until you go out to use it. The hold down strap on the handlebar slips so that the unit spins away from your thumb when you try to use the lever. On my bike, it spun back to rest on the brake lever which worked but was too far around to operate easily. I ended up drilling a hole and screwing a washer in the gap to hold the shifter at a more functional level.
