The handle turns fine, and I think that I will just have to take care with how I turn it on and off. I used PTFE on the threads coming out of the fuel tank and an adjustable wrench to tighten this on. I did not over tighten it, just snugged it up. On the initial installation, there was no fuel leaking from the threads or around the nut. The petcock appears to be working fine, and hopefully it will last.
