Also, wrap the light bulb in saran wrap or the water will burn it out. **Q: The air pump needs to be higher than the water level, what kind of suction cup or holder is optimal to use for this take? And hiding it at same time.** A: You may want to consider using an aquarium air check valve (-- search on "aquarium check valve" for examples). This will allow air to be pumped into the tank, yet prevent water from flowing back to the air pump in the event of a power failure or whatever. The curvature makes items larger than they are which is great for viewing. The light is really too dim to grow plants but there are other lights that can be used. You won't be able to use the cover, though. The pump is great, when it is working. I like the waterfall effect. Eventually, if you clean it regularly, the cord to the pump will stop working as the flexing back and forth will wear it out. The filters designed for this are not really suitable. However, I've found that using two (2) filters works a lot better.
