They have good stretch, soft material, a generous width on the gusset and good coverage on the buttocks so if you can figure out what size you would need they'll be fine.

Can I wash the ladies knickers in washing machine?

Yes. These wash very well and will keep their colour and shape.

Is whole of womens pants 100% cotton apart from waist band and around legs?

95% cotton apart from the crotch; and the inner crotch are made of 100% cotton.

Size small would be the most appropriate for a UK 10/12. The knickers do have some stretch to give a comfortable fit, & are very soft against the skin. A lovely set of underwear for everyday use.
