You do not have to wait **Q: Will it jump start semi truck** A: I have jumped my dump truck with the Cummins ISX 15 in it if that tells you anything (15 liter). This thing is stout. I couldn't hardly believe it when it fired up. **Q: Is this type good enough for 6.0 ltr. diesel Ford F350 in cold climate, down to 0° to 10°F?** A: Yes it should. Just be sure to hook it to the passenger side battery. I had this same unit when I drove a wrecker. I had a customer call and he had a 7.3 powerstroke in the winter time and the batteries were dead. I took my little pocket jumper out and hooked to the driver side battery and it wouldn't hit a lick it wouldn't do nothing. And I thought well heck I'll at least try the passenger side cuz it's closer to the starter anyway and as soon as I hooked it up to that one and hit that boost button she fired right off. So I would just say make sure you hook it to the passenger side battery closest to the starter and you shouldn't have any problems busting it off in zero degree temperature. But you need to make sure it's fully charged when you carry it too on them super cold days. I’ve purchased a total of 5 NOCO jump starters since 2016 because I originally trusted the brand. The earlier units I bought before 2020 were solid and reliable. However, the quality has clearly changed. This GBX75 stopped working after only 14 months of light use. It was properly stored, never abused, and only used occasionally. Now it won’t hold a charge and fails to power on when needed. A jump starter is supposed to be dependable in emergencies that’s the entire point. Failing just over a year is unacceptable similiar to the other 3 that failed. Out of the five units I’ve purchased, three that stopped working were bought after 2020. I definitely noticed a difference in build quality compared to the older models. They simply don’t feel or perform the same. Based on my experience, these newer NOCO jump starters are garbage compared to what they used to be.
