First, they hold exactly the stated amounts of the two dry cat foods I feed, which means I can empty the container, clean it, and then drop in a new bag. The covers seal well a locking plastic/rubber like grip for a tighter seal than just metal. Food stays fresh, and nothing is getting into it. Yet, the containers are still easy to open and close. The containers come with a handy little cup for use in filling the cat’s food bowl, or if you have multiple cats who like the same variety of food that my cats like, you can simply pick up the box and pour food from the corner of the box into the food dish. And last, the containers are attractive and that and the tight seal make me feel good about feeding my cats. The finish on the boxes is very durable. They arrived without scratches or dents and are sturdy. I don’t think they will scratch or dent with regular use.
