It has a comfortable padded handle with no loose or bendable sections. The slots, and there are a lot of em for easy and fast sifting of the litter, are maybe 7/32" wide which seems to even catch most the smallest clumps. I think that the angle of the slots contribute to that and are much better than other scoops where the slots that run straight from the front towards the back of the scoop.All in all, this is a great value.
