The fit is also larger than expected and the pocket placement is odd (they land right at the widest part of my hips), resulting in a slightly frumpy look. There were some loose threads upon arrival/before washing. While it's soft and comfortable, I wouldn't want to wear this around guests just because it's not at all flattering. This was a birthday gift to myself and it's a bummer that it wasn't as nice as I expected based on other reviews. I don't even want to put in the effort to return it tbh, so I'll just make it work for now. 09/18/2020 edit: I'll be lowering my rating after further consideration. The ribbon that lets you tie the robe shut from the inside is so silky that it loosens very easily (often when I'm tying the main belt), and the front pane is...strangely sheer enough that you can see the one beneath it, which makes it look cheap for a robe that is meant to be plush. This garment was a massive miss for me. I thought a simple robe would be safe to order online, but the quality here is lacking. I'll be purchasing my next robe at a brick and mortar store instead. She loves it. Says it is so comfy and just warm enough. Not to hot as some robes are. She wears a size 5 or 6 and the small was perfect. Not too tight over pj's and not too loose either.
